The new HealthHub portal and app will be well received by IT-savvy users ("Check health records on new portal"; Oct 19).
Unfortunately, many elderly folk may not have the ability to use these new initiatives.
In fact, many of them rely solely on their caregivers (mostly their children) to act as their patient advocates.
Therefore, it is important to provide an avenue for these elderly folk to appoint their relatives to gain access to the system on their behalf.
