Recognition from the Ministry of Education

It is our honour to have CancerStory.com featured in the Secondary One Higher Chinese textbook 2003. Through this write-up, we hope that students will be inspired to help the less fortunate and be ready for voluntary work in support of humanity.

Many seemingly impossible tasks can be easily accomplished through our compassion and sincerity if only we can create a strong bond among fellowmen. Therefore we hope to encourage all like-minded individuals to join hands in support of volunteerism and humanity, by employing two Chinese characters, "tong ren", (meaning "bringing people together for a common mission").

With the generous support of distinguished artist Mr Tan Swie Hian, "tong ren", was executed in Chinese calligraphy. We would like to express our gratitude to Mr Tan Swie Hian for supporting our cause and helping us spread the spirit of caring and sharing.
